My Art Desk Day 12

Original Date: Mar 9, 2018

We had over 15 inches of snow yesterday. Everyone has been home all week, so that affects my ability to work at my art desk. But it is important to me to get back to the desk, even if I have been away for a few days. Here is what is on my art desk today.

I adore Payne’s Gray. There are so many subtle tones and shades. A good wash in Payne’s Gray has the feel of an old photograph. I could make many washes in monochrome with this color, and I plan to explore these abstract monochrome washes.

I have also been working with Macrame these past few weeks- some plant hangers, and a couple of new hangings.  Textures and colors are my main drivers in my art making, my main place of inspiration.
